We were given a lovely welcome by very friendly receptionist. Given all relevant information about where everything was, times that food was available. Very pleased with our first impressions

Service in dining room, we booked a meal for 6 30. Had a good wait before starter order was taken and quite a lot of time before it arrived. Our main course was even longer still. We ordered a dessert and were ready to give up when it arrived. In all we were in dining room over two and a half hours. Another couple beside us were waiting just as long. Staff very apologetic

Beautiful grounds lovely flowers loved the viking &boat on the grounds! Everything as up to par & Beautiful weather

No elevator too many stairs to carry up & down lulovely place wish i could stay longerggage! I'm a disabled person geez...

The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The grounds were nice and there was lots to see within a short driving distance.

Some family were also staying there and they had a few issues with their room such as you couldn't close the bathroom door. There was no lift to the first floor. It was fine for us but something to be aware of if you have mobility issues.

I liked the building itself, beautiful bar and restaurant rooms. It was a lovely hotel and breakfast was decent. our own room was a large size also.

The room was too hot - even though I was able to turn off the radiator, i still felt too warm. When we told this to staff upon check out, we were told we should let them know next time so they could call maintenance. Seeing as the radiator could be adjusted by us and was turned off by us, I didn't see that as a reasonable response, and would have preferred an acknowledgement of our discomfort, and that it would be fed back to management. It felt dismissive of a very polite piece of feedback. The walls were thin and we could hear the TV in the next room. Overall had a bad sleep and felt dismissed by staff in relation to this

The staff! Can not fault them on anything, they were kind, and thoughtful and so considerate of us. We were a rather large group and they took it in stride and made sure we had a simply stunning stay

The hotel is a little dated in places I.e the room doors. Doesn't give the greatest first impression or the rooms justice

Very friendly staff on check in. I wished I had gotten her name as she was very helpful. She was also on this morning. The gym was perfect size. Plenty of machines and treadmills even though loads of people there. I didn't use the pool but it looked really nice. I went to the bar for dinner. Nice choice of beers on tap. I recommend the 12 o clock mass IPA. I had the burger. Being honest, it wasn't brilliant but not bad. The fish and chips looked nice. The bar is really lovely. Cosy library. I'll get that when i go back. My room was really comfortable. It had a shave set and toothbrush set in the room. I love when that happens. I was here for a night with work and have decided to return with my partner and 20 month old daughter next summer for a couple of nights

There are no lifts. Not that i didn't like this but more a FYI. There are rooms are level 1 if you find stairs difficult though

The reception staff are fantastic, couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was spotless clean and there wasn't a queue for check in out check out, even though the hotel was full. Martin on reception had us in stitches as soon as we arrived, great craic and super efficient also a blonde girl, I don't catch her name but she was also lovely friendly and very helpful too. I'd give the staff 10/10

As a celiac there wasn't a lot of choice on the menu I ordered butternut squash with halloumi the butternut squash was one small chip/fry and that was it! Usually when something is named first in a meal that's what your meal is mainly made of, disappointed with the food. Also the room was expensive not to include breakfast or a dinner.

The room was excellent! Bed was huge and super comfortable. Gorgeous decor too. The staff were all so attentive and friendly. The Solas Croi spa was amazing. Great treatments and some brilliant deals available.

A really lovely hotel. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. Rooms were clean, comfortable and modern. Would definately go back

Great breakfast.

The whole point of coming was for a spa break - I booked the hotel before I booked any treatments. After speaking to the receptionist on the phone (who was horrible) I investigating cancelling and going somewhere else. Thought about it, and figured maybe she was having an off day, or wouldn't be there on arrival...nope, same nasty woman. First thing she says to my partner "are you still ok with the indian head massage?" in a patronising voice (it was part of a package, the only thing a bloke could choose that was not a facial). He said "eh, why do I have a choice or...?" she said "eh, no actually, there's no choice". Right. Then why ask him if he was "ok" with it, implying something wrong with it? He now feels, as a bloke, he shouldn't even be there! That's the impression she gave. We go to the spa, feeling uncomfortable, and then it transpires that the lunch area is right in the middle of it, and one can buy lunch for under a tenner. However on the phone, when I tried to book a package just for me that included lunch, and seperate treatments for my partner, the receptionist bullied me into getting the same package for him "will you be having lunch alone then?" was her exact, snide, comment... implying we could not have had lunch together otherwise. Which transpried to be false. So I was tricked into buying him a package, which included the head massage, which she then later ran down, to our faces...unbelievable. Worst service ever! And out of pocket, unnecessarily. We decided we would never stay there again. I felt the hotel should know they were losing business, so we relayed all this to management of the hotel, and the duty manager (who was v. nice, name began with A) said he'd be in touch within the week, mentioned free massage, etc (!). It's three weeks later...nothing. I was holding off on the review to give them a chance to resolve it. Nothing done.

The spa was lovely

The food we had in the bar ,we had chicken wings for starter and they came out ice cold,we gave them bk and they they gave us bl the same ones with a bite taking out of them,wasnt pleased at all with this,I've being to brandon house alot and never had any complaints til this time.

Lovely location, nice bathroom, lounge area with fire place was nice and relaxing. Good place to stay with family. The food in the restaurant and the bar was nice and we are quite fussy. Didn't eat breakfast as the choice wasn't great, no fruit, vegetables...only irish breakfast.

In the bar no one came to take an order for 20 mins, had to go to the har and ask if we can order food...when the food came it was very nice..however my halloumi cheese was cold..

Martin..what a lovely person to deal with, I had called the hotel day before arriving, he was a dream to talk to..what a gem anything I requested he was more than happy to help in anyway he could!! Really enjoyed our stay here, food great, staff lovely, room fantastic what more could you ask for!! It was a well deserved break away that was needed and thankyou to all staff who made it a very good stay!! Again thankyou Martin for everything
